Thank you to every author who submitted their covers. We received hundreds of submissions, which made the job of narrowing down the shortlists to only 6 covers per genre category rather difficult! These 24 total covers represent just a small portion of the amazing authors and cover designers and cover-designing authors that publish their books via Kobo Writing Life. We’re so excited to share these shortlisted books with you!

Hi Kelly! We received hundreds of submissions and our team chose these shortlists based on the best of each category, regardless of specific genre or sub-genre. It was a difficult jurying process due to the quality of all covers submitted, but these ones reached the top our list. Thanks for your interest in the contest!
