Readers in Australia and New Zealand can now fit books into more parts of the day with subscription options to suit every type of reader

Rakuten Kobo has expanded its Kobo Plus subscription service in Australia and New Zealand, now offering unlimited access to Kobo Audiobooks in the catalogue for a low monthly fee. With limitless access to more than 1.3 million eBooks and over 100,000 audiobooks in the Kobo Plus offering, Australians and New Zealanders can now enjoy read-only or listen-only for $13.99 AUD/$14.99 NZD per month or endless reading with everything the service has to offer with the combined read and listen subscription for $16.99 AUD/$17.99 NZD per month. Subscribers will be able to explore the eBook and audiobook catalogue stress-free with a free 30-day trial.

“At Kobo, our goal is to make reading lives better with an unparalleled, accessible reading experience. Whether it’s our best-in-class eReaders, our expansive eBook and audiobook offering or our top-rated Kobo apps for reading and listening, we’re in the business of delighting readers. After over a decade as pioneers in the digital reading space, we’ve learned that nothing excites a booklover as much as saying “read as much as you want,” which is exactly what our Kobo Plus service offers,” said Bart Robers, Director, Audiobooks and Global Subscriptions, Rakuten Kobo.

“In the two years since launching Kobo Plus all-you-can-read eBooks in Australia and New Zealand, we’ve seen a flood of readers try it out. It’s been incredible to see how voracious they are when it comes to reading, which is why we’re expanding the Kobo Plus subscription offering to include audiobooks as another way for booklovers to continue reading on-the-go. Now, Kobo users can enjoy unlimited reading and listening in more moments throughout their day for a low monthly fee.”

These audiobook lovers can access Kobo Plus via the free Kobo Books App for iOS or Android, and directly on select Kobo eReaders, to begin discovering new authors and genres, including:
