Did you know that Kobo has an affiliate program? By signing up and joining our community of publishers, authors, and bloggers, you can turn your unique affiliate links into promotional opportunities and get paid for your referrals!
The first step to becoming an affiliate is registering at Rakuten Advertising. You can register by clicking the sign up button on our Kobo Affiliates page.
Once you’ve registered and have logged onto your publisher dashboard, you can then apply to the Kobo affiliate program. You only need to apply to one program! Affiliate links will work across different territories, so no need to sign up more than once. You can choose whichever territory you’re interested in, but one thing to note is that programs will showcase performance in that territory’s respective currency (i.e. if you choose Canada, you’ll see your performance in CAD). Some affiliate assets, such as banners and text links, might drive to geo specific pages, but visitors can always navigate off them to go to their local storefront and the affiliate link will track throughout.
Shortly after your acceptance into the affiliate program, you’ll receive a private offer due to being a KWL author, which you can then accept in your Rakuten Advertising profile. Now you’re all set to start using Affiliate links to drive traffic from your website to your books and other products on Kobo!
