Runs Kobo Writing Life, Europe. Whether it’s answering author questions about the dashboard, or helping authors promote their books, Camille and Sandra are there to help authors make their publishing journey a success.
She has an MA in publishing from ESCP in Paris and her favourite book is Romain Gary’s La Promesse de l’Aube.
She loves the variety of working with Kobo: from communication to editorial activities, data analysis to project management and meeting with authors and speaking at conferences—it’s everything a book and publishing nerd could dream of!
Laura answers many of the author care questions, runs our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and works with Shayna on various promotions. She has a BA in English from York University in Canada and a post-grad certificate in book, magazine and electronic publishing from Centennial College. Her favourite part of working with the KWL team is working directly with authors and finding new and exciting content to share on our various social media channels. As a true Canadian, she loves watching hockey and is a supporter of the Montréal Canadiens! She loves reading a wide variety of genres, but lately has been reading a lot of romance.

Joni also handles many author-care tickets, answering questions on everything from promotions to how to navigate the KWL dashboard. She also manages the Kobo Writing Life blog and loves being able to showcase our authors and their success stories. Joni has an MA in Italian and Spanish language and literature from the University of St Andrews, Scotland, and a graduate certificate in publishing from Ryerson University. She taught English in Italy, Scotland, Ecuador, and the Czech Republic, before moving to Canada and joining Kobo. She reads mostly literary fiction and her favourite part of working at Kobo is helping authors be independently successful and make a career out of writing (and being surrounded by booklovers on all sides!).

Tara is responsible for the overall author experience on Kobo Writing Life, from optimizing current features to looking for new avenues of growth. Her aim is to make KWL the greatest and most user-friendly self-publishing platform available.
Tara has an MA in American Literature and Film from University College Cork, Ireland and has worked for KWL since inception. She loves talking to authors and using direct feedback to make improvements that benefit the whole user base.
She likes to read lots of genres but particularly likes reading non-fiction, to get the story behind the story. As well as being a book nerd, Tara’s a big music nerd. She could recommend a good soundtrack to your latest read.
Shayna is our resident expert when it come to merchandising and promoting your books. She has an MA in English literature from Concordia University and loves to read literary fiction.
Shayna loves to discover new authors with fantastic books and helping them to succeed. She comes to this job with a unique perspective—Shayna is a writer herself and has four books published and a non-fiction co-write with Dundurn press.
If you’ve been keeping up with the KWL podcast, you’ve heard Stephanie, who co-hosts with Joni. (She also runs her own podcast with her friends, which you should absolutely check out!) Stephanie is also in charge of approving the KWL books and making sure they go up on site.
She studied media studies and English literature at the University of Toronto and loves reading romance, fantasy, thrillers and YA. Her favourite part of her job is finding new KWL books to read.
Rachel is excited to be interning at KWL as the Author Engagement intern. She’s looking forward to interacting with authors, helping answer questions, helping out with the KWL blog, and learning from the rest of the KWL team. Rachel has a BA in English from York University and a post-graduate certificate in publishing from Ryerson. She is a passionate Toronto sports fan, and counts the Raptors’ NBA Championship as a life highlight. Rachel loves reading all genres but is especially a fan of speculative and science fiction.
