Lastly, here is a general overview of what Kobo Plus has to offer authors:
- Reach a whole new audience
“At Kobo, we’re always working to make the reading experience better and more accessible. Our goal is to be delighting readers – with our best-in-class eReaders, top-rated Kobo app, unmatched digital catalogue or curated book recommendations – but there’s nothing as gratifying as saying ‘read as much as you want for a set monthly fee,’ which is exactly what our Kobo Plus subscription offers,” says Bart Robers, Director, Audiobooks and Global Subscriptions, Rakuten Kobo.
“Kobo Plus has become one of our most popular offerings in the Netherlands, Canada, Portugal, Australia, Italy and France, and it’s our pleasure and privilege to be expanding the subscription service in the US and UK, so that readers can enjoy reading and listening without boundaries.”
- No exclusivity required
There’s no exclusivity needed to participate in Kobo Plus. We want to empower you to run your business independently, and to decide where you want to sell your books.
- No time limit
There’s no time requirement with Kobo Plus! You can try submitting your whole catalogue, just some of your backlist, or maybe just the first books in your series, to see what works best for you.
- Choose which titles to include
At Kobo, we want our indie authors to have the freedom to make their own business decisions. There is no restriction on how many or how few books you enrol in Kobo Plus.
- More money; fewer problems!
Since launching Kobo Plus, we’ve had authors reporting an increase in overall monthly revenue. Kobo Plus allows you to reach a brand new audience of readers.
We look forward to seeing you at this live event! Until then, happy writing.
