Breaking News: Kobo Writing Life Launches Direct Audiobook Upload!

We are very excited to be providing the ability for our authors to upload their audiobooks directly through Kobo Writing Life!

Our Publisher Operations Specialist, Stephanie McGrath, outlines the uploading process:

Quick and Easy Publishing Process

You can now upload and sell your audiobooks, in the easy-to-use Kobo Writing Life dashboard. Your audiobook will be published in a few simple steps:

  • Describe your audiobook
  • Upload your cover image, audio files
  • Create a custom Table of Contents
  • Enter your pricing and hit publish
  • Your audiobook will be published within 72 hours

We won’t ask you for exclusivity. We encourage our authors to publish and distribute with multiple platforms to broaden your audience. We will also have lots of promotional opportunities for KWL authors.

The roll-out is currently being beta tested and will be available to all accounts soon. Audiobook capabilities are currently available in English, and will become available for additional languages by the end of 2019.

Hi Barbara, thanks for sharing our news! Like our promotions tab, audiobooks will have a separate tab that KWL authors can apply for.
