Kobo Writing Life is delighted to take part in Frankfurt Book Fair 2015 and to support the Fair’s International Self-Publishing and Author program on this occasion.
Self-publishing has grown around the world to become a strong and vibrant community. For the past three years, the Frankfurt Book Fair has offered an English-language program for self-publishing companies and indie authors. 2015 will build on the success of previous years by continuing to offer a platform where authors can meet service providers and other industry professionals.
Indie authors and self-publishing companies are invited to Hall 6 on Saturday, October 17 for a day-long program on new developments and opportunities for self-publishers. On this occasion, the Fair is dedicating the Hot Spot Innovation as a place where authors and service providers can connect with each other.
The program will include talks and presentations by the main experts among the self-publishing community. It will address the following topics:
- Research about the state of self-publishing
- The evolving role of authors in the global book business
- Rights and licensing for authors
- Marketing and discoverability
- and more!
Time: 10 am – 5 pm
Location: Hot Spot Stage, Hall 6.2 D22

I wish I could afford to attend! I have the first German language translation of a book in my Highway Mysteries series coming out at the end of the month, and it would have been a great opportunity to meet other independent author/publishers from around the world. Maybe next year! I should have at least one more in German, plus the 5th novel in the series out by then.
