Earlier this month, Jan’s Paperbacks in Oregon and KWL teamed up to host an afternoon of learning and an evening of celebrations, all centered around self-publishing, local writers, and independent bookstores.
More than 75 people participated, including our own Christine Munroe, KWL Manager for the US and the Director of KWL Mark Lefebvre. The event was deemed a resounding success by Jan’s Paperbacks and by Kobo. In the days following the event, nine of the 18 reception authors saw their titles rise into the top 50 bestselling Kobo eBooks, and Jan’s saw a huge leap in sales during the event.
We look forward to helping more independent bookstores across the US host more great events like this!
